On the 29th of August 2011, we lost an incredible member of our motorsport family in a tragic accident. Ben was an incredible talent, one I would always, and still will compare myself too.

I had the amazing privilege of racing Ben since I started racing competitvely back in 2008 during my first season of the Aprilia Superteens. The way he grew and developed as a rider was remarkable. He was a very popular young lad, always smiling. If there is one memory I will remember from Ben is definately how he was always smiling. Its a small gesture, but you had to admire his spirit and determination to keep a big smile on his face, especially during tough times encountered in Motorsport.

When we both progressed into the British Championships, it was a gaint step for both of us. It was obvious that it was only a matter of time before he was winning races, and I knew this all too well. Every time I returned from Qualifying, the first thing I would check was if I had beaten Ben. I was furious when I didn't, and estatic when I did. This is just a testiment to how highly I regarded Ben as a rider because I knew, if I was keeping up with Ben, then I was definately on the right track to winning races also.

He was an incredible rider and also an incredible friend that I will miss very dearly. I hope that your taking the chequered flag in all those races up there fella!
